There is no useful one-size-fits-all formula. A school with 800 guests arriving across a four-hour carnival does not behave like 800 students released into activities at the same time. We look at how the event actually operates.

School carnivals can work indoors or outdoors when the attractions fit the available dimensions, surface and access route. We regularly set up on grass, concrete or asphalt, artificial turf and inside gyms. We do not set inflatables on rock or dirt.

Supervision
Schools generally provide supervision. FTPR attendants are available for $45 per hour per attendant, based on manufacturer attendant guidelines.
We can also provide W-9s, certificates of insurance, additional-insured documentation when required, school/district vendor forms, purchase-order support and tax-exempt purchasing documentation.
Indoor, Outdoor & Evening School Festivals
Some schools bring the carnival or festival inside the building, while others use the gym as part of a larger indoor/outdoor plan. Equipment dimensions, access, ceiling height, power and approved setup locations determine what can work indoors.
- Gym: larger attractions when ceiling height and footprint allow.
- Cafeteria/common areas: smaller games and concessions where approved.
- Outdoor campus: grass, concrete/asphalt and artificial turf can support different layouts.
